By far the most numerous of the civilized races, humans have been the driving force of history for centuries. Ambition and energy pushes humans to civilize unsettled lands but also makes them covet power and wealth. Thus humans often forge great realms from the wild lands only to have them fall to vicious civil wars. Human settlements are diverse and often include many individuals of other races. The empire of Nerath, the last great world power, was a good example of all these traits before it fell a century ago. Now humans are divided and scattered. Despite their numbers. humans are no more poised to resume control over history than any other race.
